Obituary for Janet A. Langevin (Black)

Janet A. (Black) Langevin, 73, longtime resident of Auburn, passed away on Tuesday January 14, 2020 in her home surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Richard P. Langevin of Auburn; her twin daughters Michelle Sylwanovicz and husband Christian of Webster and Melissa Keane and husband Joseph of Auburn; her four cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Kristina, and Kyle; her brother, James Black and wife Penny of Northborough; nieces, a nephew, and many close friends.

She was born in Worcester on February 1, 1946, daughter to the late John and Arriadna (Little) Black. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1964. Janet dedicated 40 years of her career in accounts payable to Morgan Construction Company / Siemens Industry, Inc. before retiring in 2008.

Janet loved spending time with her precious family and friends, whether it be at home, dining out, or going for long car rides together. She enjoyed luncheons with former coworkers and close friends.

Those who knew Janet, knew she was incredibly strong, kind, and caring, and would do anything for anyone. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her family would like to thank all the nurses and caregivers that helped with her care.

Calling hours will be held between 9:00 and 11:00 AM on Tuesday January 21, 2020, followed by a service honoring her life at 11:00 AM at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn, MA. Burial will be held privately by her family at Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Notre Dame Hospice, 559 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605
