Obituary for Minnie V. Gulla (Kakeleti)

Mrs. Minnie Vijayamma Gulla, 87, went to be with the Lord peacefully in her sleep with family by her side on Monday, February 3, 2020 in Ohio, United States. Mrs. Minnie Gulla was born in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India. She was born to Reverend David and Mrs. Sharamma Kakileti, and raised with a sister, the late Grace Dayamani and a brother, the late Victor David in a Godly home. She was married to the late Mr. John Babu Rao Gulla, former government official, and lived in Hyderabad before moving to the United States in 1984.

In Hyderabad, Mrs. Minnie Gulla was a principal of Vijaya Primary School and was a founding member of Hyderabad Baptist Church (Narayana Guda) and Santosh Nagar Baptist Church, and supported other churches. Mrs. Minnie Gulla has served in various roles in Women's fellowship at Hyderabad Baptist Church. Mrs. Minnie Gulla raised her seven children in India.

In 1984, Mrs. Minnie Gulla immigrated with her husband to the United States, later joined by their children, and was blessed to live in the states with all seven children and their families. Mrs. Minnie Gulla was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shrewsbury for almost 20 years, then was a member of Rice Memorial Baptist Church for another 18 years. Mrs. Minnie Gulla supported the New England Indian Christian Fellowship (NEICF) from the founding years in 1996 and was a source of strength to many families who did not have their own families with them in the United States. Mrs. Minnie Gulla was instrumental in the start of monthly All Night Prayers at NEICF.

Mrs. Minnie Gulla devoted her life to her personal Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, served the Lord, and touched many people. Mrs. Minnie Gulla was well known for her hospitality and generosity.

Mrs. Minnie Gulla leaves behind her seven children: Elsie Bhaskara Valli (Gulla) Pedapati and her husband, Francis; Pauline Kumuda Valli (Gulla) Kommu, and her husband Vara Prasad; Prameela Valli (Gulla) Pidakala, husband Raj Shekar (late); Lakshmi Valli (Gulla) Nagelli and her husband Wesley; Ernest Gulla and his wife Mary Manjula; David Gulla and his wife Vijayarani; Shara Valli (Gulla) Teli and her husband Matthew.

Mrs. Minnie Gulla also leaves behind 15 grandchildren: Ernest, Sheila, Paul Vinay, John Vijay, Minnu, Grace, Enoch, Christopher, Joy, Hanna Preethi, Evelyn, Aaron, Nathan, Margaret Swetha, and John Vijay, and eight great-grandchildren: Noah, Harrison, Aryel, Nathan, Lois, Hannah, Diya, Joseph.

Mrs. Minnie Gulla spent her life loving and caring for her children and spending time with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her family was blessed to have many long years of Mrs. Minnie Gulla's constant prayers, love and support.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury, MA. The Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 9:30 AM - 10:45 AM at Rice Memorial Baptist Church, 85 Lincoln Street, Northborough, MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mrs. Minnie Vijayama Gulla's name to Rice Memorial Baptist Church or Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
