David P. “Dave” O’Connor, 83, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Worcester and Shrewsbury, MA, passed away peacefully on February 24th, surrounded by his loving family.

Dave is survived by his wife of 18 years, MacKenzie J. O’Connor, his daughter, Robin M. Belisle of Charlton, his son Patrick J. O’Connor and his wife Sarah of W. Boylston, and 4 grandchildren, Victoria, Rebecca, Rachel, & Molly. He was predeceased by his first wife, Yvette M. (Fiset) O’Connor, who died in 1987, and his siblings, Edward, Ruth, Jackie, Paul, Grace, and Bill.

Dave was born in Worcester, MA, the son of Edward and Alice (Kane) O’Connor. He grew up on Wigwam Hill in the Lake Quinsigamond area of the city. At 17, he joined the US Navy and traveled the world for over 30 years, attaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer E9.

Dave loved his family and his dog, Harley. He enjoyed traveling, camping, & motorcycles.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday March 14, 2020 at Mountain View Cemetery, 22 Boylston Street, Shrewsbury, MA. Arrangements are in the care of BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury, MA
