Obituary for Loriss M. "Lori" Legasey (Cote)

Loriss “Lori” M. (Cote) Legasey, 76, of Webster, passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Webster Manor in Webster where she was lovingly cared for by the entire staff.

Loriss was affectionally known as “Lori” to her friends and “Mitt” to her family, was born in Gardner daughter of the late Emile and Ira Ida (Sjoblom) Cote, and graduated from West Boylston High School in 1962. She later met a gentleman by the name of Paul J. Legasey, who would become her husband and best friend for the next 30 years.

Lori had been employed as a processing support specialist for the Hanover Insurance Company for 31 years before she retired in 2011.

Her friends and family will remember her for her wonderful sense of humor. She and her husband enjoyed their many years of cruising. Lori also had a passion for shopping, reading and sometimes taking excursions to visit a local casino.

The Legasey family wishes to thank the entire staff of Webster Manor for the compassionate care and love that was shown to Lori and to her family throughout her stay.

She is the devoted wife of Paul J. Legasey and the loving mother of Anthony J. “Tony” Russo of Webster, Kristen M. Russo- Rollins and her husband Jason of Worcester, Shelly A. Sullivan her husband Edward of Auburn, and Tracy L. Legasey and her partner Stephen Johnson of Webster; cherished grandmother of Sean and Caitlyn Sullivan, Zachary Legasey and Robert Rollins; also survived by her siblings, John Nasis and his wife Linda, Charles Nasis and his wife Jill, and Charlotte Mooney; many nieces, nephews, as well as cruise partners: Art and Darlene and “The Ranch Girls,” Donna, Yvette and Doreen.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Legasey family on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 4:00-6:00 pm in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn where masks and social distancing measures will be required upon entering the funeral home. Funeral services and burial will be held privately for her family.
