Obituary for Jody A. Niepokoyczycki

Jody A. (Tatro) Niepokoyczycki, 67, of Auburn, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital, after a brief battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her daughter, Amy Lee Niepokoyczycki, in 2001.

She leaves her husband of 45 years, Mark A. Niepokoyczycki, of Auburn; her son, Paul J. Niepokoyczycki and his wife Lisa, of Dover, NH; her grandchildren, to whom she was lovingly known as “Meme,” Bella, Vincent, and Joseph Niepokoyczycki; her sister-in-law Eva Rugoletti and her husband Charles, of Manchester, NH; her niece and nephew, Alice and Dominic Rugoletti; along with many close friends. Jody was also predeceased by her father, George Tatro and his wife Doris (Kemp), and her mother, Jacqueline (Stellema) Tatro; along with many extended family members.

Jody was born in Michigan City, Indiana, before moving to Massachusetts when she was young. She graduated from Doherty Memorial High School in Worcester with the Class of 1972. Jody worked as a secretary for Kraska Auto Parts for 44 years until her retirement last year, as well as other secretarial positions at the former Site Work Inc. and the Sally McDermott Dance Center.

Jody was a proud dance and soccer mom, minivan and all, and always remained active in her children’s extracurriculars. In her free time, she loved doing crossword puzzles and cross-stitching. She was also very active in the Auburn Relay for Life program. Since Amy’s passing, Jody was known for her collections of angel statues and figurines.

She was a devout Catholic and remained a faithful parishioner of North American Martyrs Church.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Niepokoyczycki family from 4 – 7 PM on Monday, November 14, 2022 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A Liturgy of the Word will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, November 15th at North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
