Obituary for Beverly M. "Bev" Pichierri

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Beverly May (Brown) Pichierri. She passed away peacefully in St. Vincents Hospital on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2023 at the age of 97, due to complications of Covid.

She was born on May 24, 1925 in Worcester, MA to Evelyn D. (Forsberg) Brown and William H. Brown.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank J., with whom she shared 55 years. They had a house built on Pakachoag Hill in Auburn where they raised their one daughter, Susan. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her four siblings, Barbara Lirange (Sam), Bernice Taylor (Phil), Dorothy Sterner (Edward) and William Brown (Irene).
Bev leaves her daughter, Susan Marie Ferrante and her husband, Paul. She also leaves one granddaughter, Dr. Lisa Angela Ferrante Morrison, PharmD and her husband Damien Morrison, Esq. She also leaves one great grandson, 3 yr. old Dominic J. Morrison, who called her Gigi; and also many nieces and nephews.

She grew up in Quinsigamond Village and was proud of her Swedish heritage. Beverly attended local schools, graduating from Commerce High in 1943. She prided herself on being a drum majorette marching in parades. She was a lifelong member of Quinsigamond United Methodist Church where she was very active singing in the choir as well as helping with bake sales and flea markets.

Bev was most always happy and cheerful. She was an avid reader, an accomplished seamstress and a wonderful baker, well-known for her delicious cookies and squares. Each Christmas she baked trays of cookies to bring to relatives and friends. Beverly also enjoyed playing piano until she developed arthritis in her hands.

In lieu of flowers kindly consider a donation to her church, Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, 9 Stebbins Street, Worcester or Second Chance Animal Shelter, Young Road, East Brookfield.

Arrangements are being handled by Britton-Wallace Funeral Home of Auburn. There are no calling hours. A graveside Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 2 PM at All Faith’s Cemetery in Worcester.
