Obituary for Elias "E.J." Maldonado, Jr.
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Elias Maldonado, Jr., lovingly known as “E.J.,” on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. He was 24 years young.
He leaves his devoted parents, Elias Maldonado, Sr. and Teresa (Camacho) Maldonado, of Shrewsbury; his loving grandparents, Noel and Minerva Maldonado; his caring brothers, Jaiden, Esdras, and sister Janai Maldonado, of Shrewsbury; along with many beloved aunts and uncles, including Aqueelah Harris, Fidel Watlington, and Nelson, Javier, Yvette, Daniel, David, Isbelia, Juan, and Merary Maldonado.
E.J. was born in Boston, and graduated from the Perkins School for the Blind in 2020. He loved swimming and listening to music, especially Latin jazz and salsa. His family and friends will remember him as the strongest, sweetest, kindest person, who they were so proud to have known and loved.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Maldonado family from 5 – 7 PM on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Liberty Church, 496 Hartford Tpke, Shrewsbury, MA, with a service to follow at 7.
